Yoshi P, I understand that you don't want casual players to miss out the rewards, which is why instead of letting top 100 players get exclusive rewards, you would much rather have everyone get the rewards via the series. But allow me to tell you that this is a bad idea, because once players get their top 100, top 30, top 1 title, they have no reason to go back in. We already got the title to brag about.
There's a better way with how you handle the rewards for the hardcore and casual pvpers. Like say if we're on season 4 now, top 100 players from that season gets an exclusive mount. So we'll have that mount when season 4 ends, and then we can show it off to people during season 5. However, by season 6, casual players who did not get to top 100 may get the exclusive mount from season 4 with trophy crystals at the wolves den.
So therefore, everybody wins! It's the same thing as the incentive to raid. The savage raiders may get the highest iLvl gear, but the casual players are just going to catch up to the hardcore raiders with gear progression in next patch. It's the same thing with pvp, we're the early adopters of the exclusive glamour and gear, but by next season, the casual players may have it as well.
You already fixed up the win-trading issue. It's not the perfect solution, but what you did really turns away the win-traders. So this is something you can implement easily. Without the incentive to be top 100, it's going to die early again in data centers like Materia. I'm only doing it right now because I want to continue to support the content on this dead cope Materia (OCE) data center that doesn't have enough population for me to ignore and then expect people to keep it alive.
I'm aware people can argue that this is just Materia's issue, because we don't have the population. And that is true, but honestly, I still feel like it would be a better idea. I do want both types of players have a win-win situation.
