They need a way to DIFFERENTIATE Final Fantasy XIV from, you know, Final Fantasy XIV without giving it some tacky 2.0 tag or trying to pass it off as a sequel which it is CLEARLY not.

Final Fantasy XIV has turned into Final Fantasy X|V. It looks different, yes? Yes. Okay.

It is not Final Fantasy XV. It is not Final Fantasy Ten|Five. It is not Final Fantasy Duodecim Five Four Fifteen Two 1/2-10. It is simply FINAL FANTASY X|V.

It really is not an issue... Let people speculate or predict. I chalked my opinion up as over-thought, precisely because of this kind of dribble. Players are having a great day, full of excitement and anticipation. Can't you hold your negativity back for one day?

I'm completely aware of that. I love speculation. However, it just gets me that people can't take a name for face value. I guess I'm just a little too literal for my own good.

I personally find the new stylized "X|V" kinda unique... gives 2.0 it's own unique feel. Perhaps the new stroke represents a "chasm",a "breakaway" or an "alternate reality" from the original FFXVI 1.0 yet while still retaining the core concept?

And somehow, after seeing all the new screenshots I can't help but keep think back at those weird chat logs at the Inn (when you just wake up) that say:

"You had a vivid dream of running through vast fields in the company of cats"... could it be Cait Sith and company?

"You had a vivid dream of incubating a really large egg"... a hint at Chocobo breeding in 2.0?

Intriguing huh?

I feel like pretty much everything patched into FFXIV is sort of a hint on what is to come in one way or another. Chocobo breeding though... there goes life. Welp.
