Although i did hear that you can fully customize the UI in 2.0, i actually would prefer the classic white border blue background and white text window style cause thats what final fantasy originated with starting from final fantasy IV onward. Yes the text does look very star wars-ish, but he did that to make it more visible and easy to read. Anyhow, when 2.0 comes out if anyone makes a classic final fantasy window style let me know asap!!
