    The wacky dialogue, silly music, lewd humor, constant pop culture references, and stereotypical comic relief characters don't ruin your immersion... but a text box and font that doesn't scream mediocre and boring does?

    I'm a fan of this if it's the default dialogue box. I like the comic book aspect because when I think of comic books, I think of story.

    i like that box, but ill change the other FFXIII looking UI stuff. when they put out info on how to make the addons.

    I like it. The text and alignment is a little off for me (a little big and left aligned too far over), but otherwise, I kinda like it.

    I'm ok with the dialog box.

    The brighter background, and shape gives it a more lively feel to it. Least that's how I see it.

    I believe the same UI designers for FFXIV are the same guys that did the UI for the PSP Tactics Ogre remake. Which is a very fucking cool thing. I like this style alot. Fits in with Matsuno's games (though he has nothing to do with XIV). They could tone down the font size and use a more "graphic novel"-appropriate typeface, though.
