Being overly positive also can make devs lazy. They think they're fine to go and it gets released as an unfinished mess. (See XIV at launch)
You can be positive without jumping to all the wrong conclusions. The same goes with negativity too.
i have not said any of those things.
i am cautiously optimistic, then again i am very excited to see these screenshots, yes.
somehow to you that translates as me giving up everything i know and love.
it's not. i'm just really excited to see them do a good job.
it looks a hell of a lot better than what we have now.
the only one that needs to be kept in check is you.
"please stop being happy guys, it may turn out shit." this is the only message you're getting across right now.
i'm hoping it won't.
Grumpy man.
OMG! It looks like a completely different MMO! Can't wait for 2.0!I wanted to make a formal forum post thinking Yoshida for these pictures that were released. If anyone hasn't seen, view it here.
Anyone who wants to, sign this Thank You letter.
I'll be back in five minutes, I have to have some alone time with these pictures.
Correction: Thanks to the whole dev team. You guys have all done such an amazing job. I may be hyping this up, but it looks like it deserves it.
lol
More words being put in my mouth. I said stop hyping it up, no more, no less.i have not said any of those things.

Also at me being the only one who needs to be kept in check:
Bullshit.
Just let us be excited over these great looking screenshots, 'kay? We're gonna play it either way so we can decide to be negative if and when it doesn't deliver or when they show specific stuff worth being negative about. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being hyped about games.

Again, I can understand where you are coming from, the release of XIV hurt us all, but don't you think the devs deserve a bit of positivity?
Yeah I do, and I'm very impressed with their current attitudes with XIV. That doesn't mean I need to delude myself into thinking 9 screenshots = a complete and utter game fix.
