    A big thanks to Yoshi-P, and everybody from the team behind the game, for keeping on going, and pushing to give this game a chance at coming back.

    I have so far enjoyed seeing the game be redesigned like it has, and I like where I see the game going. It's been an interesting trip, as far as mmo's go.

    I can't help but wonder if these picts are more conceptual renditions of the game, rather than actual game screen shots. I mean the top half are all artistic renditions done by hand. And there is no link to the source where these shots we're taken. And it doesn't state either.

    You don't understand cultures if you think this way...Japanese culture very different from American. Work ethic different...passion and loyalty to their company different...

    And um...I don't think to this day that the dev team wanted to release the game that early. It's a publicly traded company...the stockholders say you been using up a lot of money on this product with nothing to show...you need to push product to market or cease project cause it costing too much money. If you don't show us profit we the board will cancel your project...(likely scenario)

    Those are actual screen shots. They've been reworking everything since the day Yoshida took office. I would surmise the screens came from Yoshida's last round of trips...and probably they were promised not to reveal untiil E3.

    And coming from a relatively unknown website...goes to show how much Square Enix thinks of the "BIG" press these days...and for all those whining it would butt hurt SE not to release a trailer...these pics went viral very quickly...even my friends who stopped playing FFXIV a few months after release gave it a look over.

    I can only hope the game engine can handle the amount of detail character creation seems to entail. It's all fun and games until the game starts spazzing out because of having to render so many different models and so on.

    Anyway, does anyone know what the icon I saw on the action bars in those pics is? The red one with the sword and hammer with a rounded arrow?

    PS: While the screenshots are nice and I am looking forward for more information, I'm still curious to see how dungeon design will be approached in 2.0. If its anything like what we have here (run to beacon while not fighting anything, clear in 25 minutes or bust), then we're going to have problems later on...

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    And thanks to SE for standing behind the game even when the logical thing to do was to chuck it!
    Hopefully with this release you will begin to see the numbers of players increase and the whole gamble actually paying off!
