Honestly I would LOVE a customizable treehouse, one that we could perhaps set up whereever we want in the wild. Even a cave I can drop carpets in would be nice haha!Be nice to have a house/living quarters where there is a living area like a house even if we can't deco it. Obviously being able to decorate would be ideal but I'd like a living area the cabin as such sure doesn't qualify. The bathhouse and treehouse are amazing though. Give us a living area as well.
And what you are describing is pretty much what they say it wouldn't be - housing.Be nice to have a house/living quarters where there is a living area like a house even if we can't deco it. Keep wishing and pooping in each hand and see which one you get first though.

It's that you're doing it wrong, there is a way to make 3k xp via the factory (1 Xp per azure assignat received via the sale), 1k via the livestock 120 per harvest X the number of crop slots; per day.
2k per week via the weekly objectives journal. And quite a bit via building upgrades.
Yoshi-P told you it was chill content between two PvE content. If the grind harvest only yields 10 xp, you're doing it wrong and you're doing the content wrong.
I made myself a treehouse in RIFT's Dimensions once. Took one of the bigger trees with a good branch layout, resized it to maximum then started adding rooms on different branches and fishnet "bridges" to connect them together along with creating an entrance path from the top of a cliff in the Dimension.
It was a lot of fun to do. I still wish the rest of RIFT had been as good as their housing.
Why ever would you tell someone they're doing it wrong when it's supposed to be relaxing content for players to approach in the way they want? Not everyone gives a damn about max efficiency nor is trying to achieve it relaxing. It might be satisfying in the end but it's most definitely not relaxing. It's that you're doing it wrong, there is a way to make 3k xp via the factory (1 Xp per azure assignat received via the sale), 1k via the livestock 120 per harvest X the number of crop slots; per day.

It's still not a farm simulator even if there's a little bit of farming involved. Also don't know why you bring up the workshop as some sort of proof it's a farm simulator. Farms don't usually process the "raw" materials into finished products. They ship them to the factories that do.

Whoever thought Island Sanc was gonna be housing clearly didn't get the memo's that stated that it wasn't

For many, it is the closest they will have to an open "personal space" in the game, until the devs manage to fix the housing problem.

I mean it was never meant to be housing, when asked about it they were completely quiet and that was a big giveaway that it wasn't going to be like housing, idk how some people got the feeling that we'd be able to customize the island like housing, probably the supporters of "muh neighborhood feeling"

If they just added a housing plot like those found in the housing wards to the Island, that would address the requests for "instanced player housing". I'm guessing there's a technical reason that they didn't do this though.
How many men am I involved with? Well that depends... do you mean men as in males? Or just midlanders?
It's certainly not what I was hoping for. I thought it would solve the issue of players not being able to grow chocobo fodder because they hadn't been lucky enough to get a house. Sadly it has no association with the rest of FFXIV other than you can get a few novelty items and another means to ever so slowly farm crafting/gathering materia. It's so... *sigh* I don't think "disappointing" is enough to describe how underwhelmed I feel about it.

Gaius van Baelsar: Nor is this unknown to your masters. Which prompts the question: what came first, the chicken or the egg?
Possibly because you were one of those who convinced themselves that the Sanctuary would be a fix for other shortcomings the game has instead of its own unique content as we were repeatedly told it would be.It's certainly not what I was hoping for. It's good content for what it was intended to be though I understand why many are disappointed it was not more. Sometimes it's better to fix what isn't working well than ignore it in favor of adding something new. This is one of those situations where we're left wonder if the resources devoted to Island Sanctuary couldn't have been used to improve the housing system instead.
