Honestly all they need is for it to default to the adventurer plate if there's an issue with the job portrait.
The beta version worked better than what we have now. Portraits break for no reason most of the time. I spent all day on my SAM with portrait working just fine, I go AFK 1 hour, next dungeon in, and the portrait is broken. No warning, no yellow triangle, I didn't change glams. At the moment it's really bad system.



The system is built like an overlay, and just tied to gear sets to execute the stored plate/gear set picture. This approach is kind of like let's just get this out there and make it workable.
Would probably have to overhaul much of this system to really integrate it further because they don't like the idea of showing a toon with gear in a duty intro that isn't on the job they are playing.

it's all for cosmetic purposes anyway we shouldn't have to re-do them for every class, that's obnoxious and tedious
