Portrait System - Can you please just do this?

I am making another thread because I want this picture front and center, as a suggestion, rather than just talk about how I don't like it. Which I have also done.

I don't mean to come off as rude or anything but the protrait system is just bad. So I made a picture of what I want to see personally. I hope the devs see this and can do something similar or revamp it. Because besides the adventurer plate I am abandoning the system.

I love the concept, but not with the current implementation. So here you go, I think this is way better, and forgive me for my hubris if you think I'm full of it.

Please fix, and when these are set, please don't reset them, when I change job or go do some other activity (For a fantasia I understand no worries):

Yes exactly, I want the default portrait be default on everything, including the adventurer plate. And then if you wish you can assign other portraits to specific gear sets. That’s it. That’s all they had to do. I don’t get how they came out with something vastly more complicated and that probably took more work to do.

This image is pretty much how I wanted the system to be. I want the sub-menu to when you select a saved portrait be like this:
1. Edit
2. Link Portrait to gearset
3. Apply Portrait to Adventurer Plate (if you decide to use a different one that isnt linked)
4. Apply Portrait as Instance Portrait (same as 3)
5. Delete Portrait.

and just have the little Instance portrait toggle on/off button at the bottom right side like how we have to just automatically make whatever portrait we have that's linked to our current gearset BE the same for PvP and Mahjong or whatever.

Reviving this on the off chance a dev sees it and wants to fix their system. And please either auto update gear so it doesn't revert back to default or leave the portrait as is and let people look different than their portraits. When people show up to places others don't assume they'll look exactly the same as their profile picture or in this case business card picture.

Some limitations like fantasia or hair change may make sense. Clothes? no.

They should also just allow us to default a specific portrait regardless of job, glamour, etc.

I'm not even sure what you're trying to accomplish with your illustration, OP.

I just want to take a snapshot, and option comes to set as portrait [for duties], click yes, and done.
