I knew 2.0 wouldn't disappoint with Yoshi-P (someone who actually cares about the series) in control.

Just goes to show all those losers who kept saying that 2.0 was going to be nothing more than a few upgrades.

This is probably the greatest show of a turn-around for a single game in gaming history.

Just thought I'd mention this here, all the ingame 2.0 screenshots are 1600x900 resolution, which means they'll be 720p background most likely, so these are mid-range settings and not 1080p

Can't be a FFXIV article without something wrong.

Final Fantasy XIV's launch was so terrible that Square Enix had to pull the game and promise to not bring it back until it was fixed.

Month or two after the game's launch, I no longer saw ff14 on most store shelves. Nearest Best Buy sells them for $50 (little do they know it's $20 from SE's site xD )

Wow, I've heard this a couple of times and still surprises me.
The CE was like $20 on my local(ish) Gamestop a year ago. And even so, the digital and retail version have always been available on Amazon.com

But yeah, can't blame the average gamer for not being informed about the game - it's part of (or I hope it is) SE's plan.
Kotaku on the other hand should've done their research!
