As i said before, the restyling itself it's awesome, but tecnically soso... texture and foliage really looks in lower res. compared to the actual game (shadows and illumination are really nice) .. I have to say that by judging these screenshots, tecnically the game is worse than Tera... But i think that the final version (or even a gameplay video) will look really better

As i said before, the restyling itself it's awesome, but tecnically soso... texture and foliage really looks in lower res. compared to the actual game (shadows and illumination are really nice) .. I have to say that by judging these screenshots, tecnically the game is worse than Tera... But i think that the final version (or even a gameplay video) will look really better

I don't think he was being silly. He was judging evidence of what we have and drawing a conclusion based on a comparison (i.e., those screenshots are technically worse than screenshots of TERA). That's just formulating a conclusion based on observation. Being "silly" in my opinion would be presuming FFXIV 2.0 will have better graphics than what we have been shown in screenshots so far.

It might, at the end of the day, have better graphics, but based on what we've been shown, it stands to reason that 2.0 is a downgrade. For now, one must assume it's a downgrade based on observation.

Looking at them side by side - TERA kinda looks silly. Is it just a bad angle? I've seen better pics. Isn't that the Lion from "Lion Witch and the Wardrobe"?

While that pic looks nice and smooth The detail cant even compare to XIV's

eeh... I think this image looks way better:



And I have Tera. But FFXlV has the bigger scale, and has a more realistic look to it which is the art style I like more. Tera looks like a bigger, scale, version of WoW with faster gameplay.
