Not quite sure if anyone pointed this out of if the Devs mentioned anything about this earlier, but in the picture with the DRG fighting the Coeurl, notice one of his party members has only 1 name. Does that mean we finally have the option to choose only 1 name? I was never really a fan of the surnames.

Might be a battle Chocobo. It does have the BLM symbol though, so unless they can assume Jobs then that's unlikely.

I think it's more likely that we can customize how names are displayed. If you want to see the first name only, you set it to hide the last name. If that's the case, however, then the screenshot suggests that you can do it on an individual basis (which would be really nice). It's possible that you could set it so that you never see your friends' last names whereas for other characters you would see both first and last names.

There may be a way to display only first names... but in the case of this SS, I think it's just because Lulu does not have a last name in X as far as I can recall.

The Cait Sith design is intriguing since it's pretty much a carbon copy of the 11 design. It be interesting if it's actually related to the ones from 11, since it wouldn't be far-fetched for those who have played through the story.

Showing all these designs though I wonder if they have Gilgamesh hiding somewhere lol. Bringing up images that seem to transcend dimensions yet you don't show off the one dude who's the go to guy when it comes to that.

You tell me, I don't recall the the 11 version wearing boots or gloves lol. I knew someone was going to bring up 7 but compared to the design you see in 14 it's pretty much a copycat of the 11 design. At least from 7 to 11 the design was altered to be more unique to it's counterpart. All I"m saying is with what's been shown and how things appear to be transcending dimensions, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cait Sith we are shown is related to the one from 11.
