>Navy Seal Copypasta
I have very little idea what I'm talking about -> Do you have Crystal tier for Season 1, and then another Crystal tier for Season 2 on another data center? Did you rank up on two of the most competitive data centers for pvp as a non-meta job? Because seeing you on EU, makes me not want to take your opinion since I know EU is dead for certain PvE content as well as it's roleplay community, so I doubt it has as much competition for PvP which is normally a smaller community than both of those compared to Aether and Primal. I'd gladly introduce you to Jay Vermillion's monk and tell me afterward your healing kit as a healer is important in high elo.
Where's ya'll copypasta at?

yeah its pretty damn annoying, both this and cheating has got me treating ranked like casual XDSurprised noone has mentioned this yet on the forums despite how often I see people complain about it in game/youtube, but why can't we have minimum compositions? Not even overkill, but something like 1 tank, 1 heal, 2 melee dps, 2 ranged dps. Been annoying to go on Season 3 and still see 3 healer comps, 2-3 tanks and 1-2 heal comp where 60-80% of your team isn't dps and you realize after the first 2-3 minutes of shotcalling the match your team just flat out doesn't have the damage to kill anyone/push the crystal and you spend the next 3-4+ minutes struggling in vain because there's no surrender vote, 5 dps comps in Diamond/Crystal which is nearly auto-win with decent communication on picking a target, games with a healer and 4 range dps that has no frontline at all.
There's already RNG who's getting legit bronze and who gets ex-plat/diamond/crystal's on their team, already RNG to pray you don't see a win-trader or a person who's at 0-40k damage in a 5 minute match every 3 games because even in Gold you get put with Unranked ppl who have 0 pvp experience, can we at least get rid of one layer of RNG, and even we don't standardize dps grouping like pve, at least guarantee a tank each game?
Sleek flex.
I wasn't addressing if you told the truth or not. A little self-awareness, please.

"The Navy Seal Copypasta is believed to have originated on the military and weapons enthusiast image board Operator Chan sometime in 2010. The earliest archived posting was submitted on November 11th, 2010 to 4chan’s /jp/ (Otaku Culture) board, in which the poster claimed to have seen the message previously on Operator Chan.
“Copypasta” is slang for something you can copy and paste to respond to people in various situations, although why you’d want to respond as a fake, grandiose Navy Seal we don’t know."
What I got from google, so sounded like it was a joke over the validity.
It's the same garbledeguk we usually hear from people who insist that despite you being 20% of your team, 100% of the responsibility for wins and losses fall on your shoulders and not the lemmings you get matched with.I have no idea what this means or is a reference to as every triple heal comp team I've seen in high diamond/crystal in previous seasons has lost and no1 runs more than 2 healers in the CC tournaments full of the top ranked 100 players, and even then they're stacked with 2-3 meta dps in addition to both of those healers (one of which seems to always be astro to buff said dps's)
I'd agree with you here, but since there is no reliable way to gauge a person's skill in PvP, I'll take something like a NIN or MNK over a RPR anytime, any rank.
I have yet to see a reaper get over 300k damage in any group I've played with, up to about gold. Can't tell if it's the players or the job.
It's the player/matches. Reaper in the hands of some crystal's is super scary because of the sustain, burst if they get death warrant off properly, and the LB. Reaper and Dancer is especially deadly as they have aoe sustain and 2 lb's that can break guards for hard pushes/aoe LB's. I was Gold 1 - 3 stars and got put against some the top 100's that were in Plat in the first few days of the season and I got wrecked by like 3-4 straight games against Reaper & Dancer combos. Main thing with reaper is if they're focused/cc'd and if they know how to escape or not. Reaper's burst is purely in the death warrant window so right timed guards or stuns/silences during that window will chunk 10-20k+ of their dps for that 20s burst window depending on if its normal or if its LB boosted damage.
Kills, Deaths, Damage done, Healing done, are extremely good indicators of performance. Especially if you compare them to someone of the same job on the other side.
Now, I'll give you that Reaper is slightly different because it has some utility that is not reflected in those metrics. Like using your LB at the right moment to break some guards, get people off the Crystal and win in OT, stuff like that. It's also more of a single target job which will not dish out the same AOE damage as most other jobs.
It's more of a : If you know how to play the game, you can appreciate what a reaper did for your team kind of thing. Unfortunately, it is by far the job that is used the less efficiently (at least in NA). In lower ranks especially, a reaper is almost always a death sentence.
You can turn that into an advantage. Like yesterday, I was queuing up for the first time, saw a reaper that was absolutely useless. I switched to reaper and I would win each time I'd face them.
