Mixing facial features

Let me start this post by saying I know nothing about programming or making a game in the first place, which is why I am asking:

Would it be possible in the future, instead of having four or more different faces with exclusive features to them, that we could have just categories of eye shapes, lips etc.
So for example, a face 1 could use the nose from face four and so on, all within the race exclusivity of course.

I often encounter the problem that I love a feature from one face but nothing else, so being able to mix them up could in the end also allow us to create characters that are more unique.

Any possibility this could work? And if not please explain it to me like I am a child !

it be a easy thing to implement on lalafells but it be impossible with something like male au ra and hrothgar who's face structure is incredibly different for each head

so probably not happening

I've wanted this for a while as well, I really love the eyes/lashes on Viera face 2 but I'm not crazy about the eyebrows, noses and mouths on that face.

Yeah, the only way I see this happening (and I've also been wanting this to be a thing since forever ago now) is if they rebuild the entire character creation and how the face shapes are tied to facial features. I barely have any knowledge or understanding of game development but I feel like this would be a very time-consuming thing to accomplish. That being said, we HAVE seen NPCs with mixed facial features from combining two different races. I keep hoping we will get an overhaul on a lot of things, especially character creation on 7.0 but I feel like for what I want, they'd need a brand new game engine, which probably won't happen and a new MMO would be more likely in that case, which is also extremely unlikely.
