What I was trying to say is that personal skill played more of a role in you being able to climb during S1 and S2, with luck playing a smaller role. Now luck plays much more of a role because of how the matchmaking system works in Gold. It might work better in Plat because you stop getting matched up with unranked/bronze players.

There's no reasoning with these people. I could literally film all my games from Bronze to Platinum and there would still be people saying it's wintrading.

It's okay. I suppose part of me wanted people to realize that they are not good enough and if they want to play ranked, they have to improve. But if you don't even want to recognize the issue, how can you hope to fix it ?

So, think whatever you want, abandon ranked, think to yourself that everyone else was a cheater and a wintrader anyway and that you are the only good and fair player in the whole game. Go play your 2 min casual games that keep going 100 to 0, win or lose, get your Series pass maxed up and then focus on something else.

In the meantime, myself and the people with at least a modicum of skill will play ranked, where our games will be a lot more fun when you don't have people not pressing their Recuperate button (in theory). Because besides the rewards, high-rank games are infinitely more fun. You can trust your PLD to use cover on you if you are about to die. You can trust your DNC and DRG to try to sync up their LB for maximum damage. It's a lot more strategic, it's a lot more rewarding. There is a community that you can get involved in because you'll often run into the same people. You might even make friends.

It's just... not for you.

Actually getting to that higher end of play is exponentially more difficult with 6.2's change to matchmaking. You can cry personal skill all you want but fact of the matter is if there's even one person on your team not up to snuff, you're likely not going to win.

It wasn't too bad, I dropped like 4 or 5 matches and out of them probably only 3 were uncarriable.

I might wait until more people get pushed into higher ranks before I continue with the climb, it's so much easier to carry games with these players than play against the old top 100 and some over and over to reach Crystal.
