I know other timezones may find this time slot convenient, but you should really consider doing a rotation of your maintenance times. That way the same region doesn't get screwed over twice in a row.

No one is getting screwed. It's a video game. 2-8pm is when people would be getting out of school/off work and tend to hang out with friends and/or family for a few hours before bed.

They don't need a rotation, they're doing it in their off/early hours, American companies don't rotate their times for the people who import/they support, why should SE?

You get a 2 - 8pm maint once and complain? Almost all maints are around 6pm - 1am GMT which screws over the enitre night in Europe, at least you can get on from 8-11 or so and still do stuff.

Nah just bugs me when NA complain that they miss acouple hours when EU miss the later part of the evening (when events usually happen)

Yep, since it's usually pretty much the end of the day for EU, whereas in NA, 2-8pm ...if you can't honestly find something to do in that time frame...

But even if they add the weapons I am too far away to get one of these since nobody is doing Hamlet.

What do hamlets have to do with AF weapons? If someone can cite an official source that says beating the Hamlet bosses/giving stuff to Rowena is how you get AF weapons I would greatly appreciate it, because this seems to be just yet another forum rumor that people are taking as fact.

Far as i'm aware an NPC talks about the items you need from the Halmets, also I think a community rep comfirmed it.

I really don't know. I heard I need the book from the GC and 9 seals from Hamlet Defense.
I got the book. But I am really not sure if this is true. I just started playing the game again and patch 1.22 for first time because I was away for a few weeks. Would be cool if I don't need to get that 9 seals, because people told me it is a pain to collect them.

Hmm well I did further searching and came up with zero results from a community rep actually stating that's what the thing from Rowena is for. Just this post claiming that's what it's for and then this one stating there's "no need" for reps to tell us because enough clues are already in the game... <_< I think I'm just going to wait and see what the patch notes say before getting upset about hamlets for no reason.

nothing offical just speculation, I hope its not true because needing 9 random drops from hamlet which are a very low drop rate for the AF weapon does not sound fun to me. Maybe they are for Garlean weapons.
