I'm not sure what is the cause, again after more testing, setting graphic to high laptop and gpu core and memory clock down -400mhz I have no crashes in that extreme fight. The weird thing is after a full instance session I placed back all to normal with max graphic settings and didn't had issue. Next day I relogged in game and went in extreme fight and had the crash again, so I changed it BACK again (with msi afterburner) the core and memory clock and lower graphic again and didn't had issue all day. There's something in that fight that I suppose at max settings make crash directx. I'm also using prefer max performance on nvidia panel and is not from steam. Until found a solution I guess I have to play with underclock gpu... not that in the end matter much but still sucks.

EDIT: GPU in the fight didnt pass above 75°C degree and cpu were at 69°C max I seen.

    Greetings Adventurer!

Thank you for providing the requested information Black_Pearl! We would like for you to please try the following:

    - Try switching to DirectX 9 by selecting the ‘Config’ button on the launcher.
    - Update and reinstall the drivers for your graphics card and sound drivers. Although mentioned they were recently updated, we would suggest that you try to update once more.
    - Perform a clean boot by opening the task manager and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything.
    - Please be sure to disable or remove any overlays (Discord, Steam, NVIDIA etc.) as they may interfere with startup.
    - Make sure that the Windows OS is fully updated.
    - Install game on different drive. (If Steam version, make sure game and Steam are installed on same drive)
    - Reinstall game. (If Steam version, try uninstalling and reinstalling both the game and steam)
    - Verify installation files. (If Steam version)

If you do not see an improvement, please feel free to respond to this thread for further troubleshooting.

Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums!

    - DX9 crash when staying in limsa, game freeze once every 10-20 seconds, with dx11 doesn't have this problem.
    - Drivers are being installed and reinstalled and can't update something that is already up-to-dated by nvidia
    - In start there's not many processed if not microsoft one, cortana is disabled, microsoft edge is disabled, phone link is disabled, realtek hd audio universal service is disabled with steam. LGHUB is disabled (tho is needed for my G910 keyboard), Windows security notification icon is the only enabled.
    - Discord, steam and nvidia overlays are off sicne the begin because I hate overlays.
    - Win10pro is fully updated, well at least until yesterday
    - Still need to try install from PCIe 4.0 M2.SSD to SATA SSD but at the moment still testing (yesterday were able to play all day with underclock)
    - Guess will reinstall game as last option
    - is not steam, is lodestone client

As wrote above, yesterdayw ere able to play all day without issues, however did not try to return all back to normal after testing, didn't want to make people waste time in the fight. I guess will try again today.

Well I run out of ideas, is been days playing fine without a single dx crash P5Savage and without the need of lower GPU clocks but were crashing in extreme trial without lowering gpu clocks...
