The losing team doesn't get an advantage.

There are two reasons why the crystal moves faster in some circumstances:

1. The team pushing it in the opponent's half of the field.

2. The team has reclaimed the crystal after the opponent pushed it back some distance, and is moving along this stretch for the second time.

Basically, each team pushes out the boundaries of the zone in which the crystal will move faster, but it's fair for both teams within that zone.

If Team A gets the crystal to the 50% checkpoint and Team B gets control, it will move faster for Team B because of reason 1. But at the same time if Team A gets it back again, it will also move faster for them because of reason 2, until they get it back to the furthest point they reached earlier.
