Touche, love your analogy. Here is one back at you: Your 5 year old says 'Why didn't I get any XMAS gifts this year?' And you say, 'You only get presents every two years'.

*looks at the empty christmas tree*
*looks at the parents*
Why did you charge me monthly for no presents? I celebrate Kwanzaa, what is going on here? YOU ARE NOT MY PARENTS, YOSHIDA! I NEED AN ADULT!
No, it's more like your kid asking: "why didn't I get a Christmas present today?" and you replying "today is Easter, you'll get a Christmas present for Christmas, as usual".

my question is.. you give christmas gifts at thanksgiving? I say you spoil your 5 year old since your analogy is not comparable to the thanksgiving one. but I guess your call on giving your child expectations.
personally, I didnt feel "shortchanged" since the new things for crafting showed up when I expected them in the patch cycle. since you have been here so long.. thats when you should have expected them too.
Thing is when new crafter gear comes out is known as there's past history to look at.
If you think about the expansion release as New Years Day. Then the patches released within are the various holidays throughout the year.
Some holidays you expect presents. Some holidays you expect gathering of families. Some holidays you expect gathering of friends. Some holidays you expect certain types of food to be present. Some holidays have a combination of the above.
You're thinking crafting gear is like getting a present. This is analogous to complaining that on Memorial Day you aren't getting a present. Memorial Day is more about the gathering of friends for BBQ's in the USA for the start of the summer BBQ season.
You would have a point...if this were 4 months from now
