I'm sorry, but it seems I'm having difficulties taking such a statement seriously coming from a FemRa.

The hard hitting monk who can break Zeno’s mask in half also being a slight ditsy airhead, at least at the start. Its one of the reasons why in ARR+ I was not keen on Thancred and his ‘Oh look he is a womanizer’ motif, but he became one of my favourites Scions after Shadowbringer and what they did with him and Ryne.
You say that like hot-headed, hard-hitting women who lead from the front aren't much more common these days and increasingly resembling a store-bought commodity. Not to say they're everywhere, but people can't keep bringing up this point like they're a rare Tasmanian Devil anymore. Fierce women, woman protagonists are getting more and more common and this is good! but the counterpoint is losing it's edge as a debate-worthy weapon and starting to take on rust.

I know, right? It's almost like it's an opinion and Aveyond shouldn't be ridiculed on a forum for having it~

That, or ignore it entirely. Starting to think none of y'all really KNOW Aveyond and as such are unqualified to speak of them, but hey. 'Tis only mine opinion~

Holy sexist stereotyping, Batman. He looks plenty masculine. Guys don't have to be roided up muscleheads to be masculine.

The one critique I agree with in this thread is that we are on a power trip indeed. It doesn't feel like we struggle at any time, gone are the days where we get our ass handed by a foe that is far superior to us like Zenos in Stormblood. We always come out on top, undefeated. Even if the situation seems dire for the others it is not for the WoL. Sure there is emotional struggle but we are too powerful as it is now.

Yeah power scaling is in an awful spot but it was to be expected.

You either face gimmicks or have stakes for other people

Didn't that just happen in EW when Zenos basically abducts us, steals our body, and forces us to fight our way back as a relative weakling?

All I can confirm is he communicates only in grunts and nods. And an occasional harumph
Just imagining a scene where he and WoL just grunt, nod, and punch their own palms while the rest of the scions watch in pure confusion.

I want this now, with Thancred in the background facepalming.

Red Oni, Blue Oni is a very common trope in all kind of japanese (and non-japanese) media. The Leveilleur twins are like the most basic implementation possible of the trope, even down to the color scheme. They both fit every single of the most common traits.
Not saying that tropes are bad, but it's a stretch to say that the main cast of FFXIV is unique in that regard.
