Would love to see you in a board meeting when people question you on "What do you mean People are Largely unsatisfied with the Scions? Do you have statistics for this or any proof" and you reply with "Well its obvious I was speaking for myself"

One should always assume "IMO" and "I believe" for things that are opinion based. Unless the poster explicitly states that they feel their opinion is fact. Something aveyond and others who share his opinion have not done.

That being said, sometimes aveyond and others do use words like "many people" which imply more than just the few who post on this forum. And they could frequent places where there are more people who share their opinion on the scions and the story. And there are a number of people who I think assume when they say many, they mean majority. But that isn't necessarily the case. I'd say 1000 people would qualify as many people. But when you compare that to the number of players who play FFXIV, that's not a majority.

I have no issue with them being tired of the Scions and hoping that there is a shake up of the cast. Story line wise, there are a number of Scions who've had their arcs finished and could shift from main cast to secondary cast (ie: brought in when relevant, like how Urianger was used in ARR). Thancred, Alphinaud, Alisaie, and Urianger come to mind. Y'shtola's is likely in the final stages assuming we work out how to travel to other shards in a timely manner. Though her research could likely be done off screen except when we stumble into something relevant or she needs our strength. G'raha and Estininen are too new and I don't expect those two to be retired.

I'll be happy either way as long as the story told is interesting. So far, I haven't been disappointed.

I'd rather Zero not become Zeromus, because in her absence we'd be once again stuck with the Scions who have long since overstayed their welcome. Even their fans agree with this. I'd like for her to remain a member of the cast and contribute to something of substance rather than just being along for the ride like the Scions felt they were in Endwalker.

Yeah, all 5 of them.

I've been perusing and consuming FFXIV posts and content online from various sources and literally the only people I see who think this are the minority here at the forums. There's more people that enjoy the Scions than people who dislike them.

How are they "Better" cast members besides filling a checklist of other Typical & Traditional RPGs that you liked?
And what motivations would they have fighting Voidsent? Some Charismatic Thief wouldn't want to just jump into saving the world out of nowhere.

Honestly when it comes to a newer cast I would rather see more original characters, over those who are copies of legacy FF characters or borrow heavily from them. I love that the game does pick up these story beats and characters from the past and gives them new light, but when it comes to our main cast I feel its better if they are new and fresh to the overall lore. There is a reason why the Scions became so beloved by many, and it has little to do with the past.

I'm inclined to agree that Yshtola is becoming a Miqote bimbo that thinks she is smart and is starting to become insufferable. A far cry from Grandma Matoya.

The only Scion I like at this point is Estinien.

Is Estinien even a Scion?
Like I know he joined us, but I feel more-so as a Collaborator, or just someone who is officially joining our fight as a Mutual/Lending us aid.
Likely I forgot, but I dont think he Joined the Organization/the Group and identifies as a Joined Member of The Scions of the Seventh Dawn

After Tiamat/Lunar Bahamut he joined as an official member so he is a Scion now. I feel he is probably the most relatable to the WoL. While the others primarily use the WoL as a tool to either solve their problems or for their own agendas.
