A Few Camera and Movement Suggestions

An issue with the legacy camera, for those who don't know (or don't use a gamepad) is that, on a gamepad, no matter what you do, the camera will try to adjust and position itself behind your character when you move left or right. This results in your character running in a circle instead if you hold the movement stick to the left or right without touching the camera stick. This isn't an issue for keyboard and mouse players, because holding down the right mouse button allows you to strafe without the camera auto adjusting, but there's no equivalent for gamepad players.

This can, of course, be remedied by switching to Standard camera mode. In Standard, your character immediately looks in whatever direction your camera is facing, allowing you to actually strafe instead of running in a circle. There's a pretty significant caveat though, in the fact that moving backwards now has your character slowly backpedal away from whatever they're facing. When I'm playing Archer, and trying to keep some distance between myself and my target while keeping said target in sight, this makes that difficult, because the backpedal is SO SLOW. Also, while it doesn't affect actual gameplay much, it would be nice to be able to look at my character from different angles without having to go into the menu and change my settings every time.

So here are my proposed solutions:

    1. This is the obvious one: allow us to turn off the camera auto adjust in Legacy Mode. I've seen comments from as far back as 8 years ago requesting this feature. Give us an option to allow the camera to work as if the right mouse button was being held down (without the menu-breaking effects that actually taping or weighing the right mouse buttons causes).

    2. Increase the speed of the backpedal. Gameplay-wise, it makes no sense for the backpedal to be so slow, as the Legacy camera allows full-speed backward movement, giving standard camera users an unfair disadvantage when trying to dodge enemies' attacks or keep out of their range. Plus, I actually like how it looks to have my character face his enemies in fights -- it looks a bit silly to have him do a 180, hit his enemy, and then immediately turn back the other direction. Sure, allow us to slowly backpedal by only tilting the movement stick backwards a bit. But allow us to speedily backpedal as well -- lots of third-person shooter games do it, and it doesn't look as silly as you would imagine.

    3. Allow us to hold down L1 to freely rotate the camera while in Standard mode. Sometimes, I just want to look at my character from a certain angle. I know you can see what the front of your armor looks like in the character screen, but that's not really enough. I wanna get nice looking views of my character from the front, with the game's scenery behind him, without having to go into the menu and switch to a different camera mode.

I hope someone sees this. I know I'm not the only one with these issues
