I'm just pointing out that it's not guaranteed that they'll instantly roll if they know you're willing to wait.
If it's something you really want then it's better to be prepared to wait and be ready to entertain yourself or keep busy elsewhere.
It is not griefing nor reportable, i mean they could just say they are checking the stats and need time to decide on what to roll. So you basically don't have a case there at all.Hai.
So I noticed something, when doing some raids, and alliance raids, sometimes even dungeons, there're people who intentionally dont roll after run's over.
they just stand there for 5 minutes and roll within last 10 seconds or so.
I confronted a person about it and they said if they wait some people leave the group and they get bigger chance to obtain items.
is this griefing? is it reportable?
It's still dirty tho and i can understand peoples anger about it.
I don't think it's reportable.
I always boiled it down to people AFK or try to wait it out that you will leave and they get the loot.
When this happens, I usually sit my character down and tell the ones holding off on rolling that I either have Netflix up on another screen or that I've got all day. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Either way I refuse to give them what they want, even if my rolls are low and I don't have the faintest chance of winning anything. If they want to be stubborn, so can I. It's really that simple.
Most of the time I see it's for cards, minions or music which tells you if you have it or not. Am I to believe they are looking up the music to see if they like it and listening to the whole thing before rolling?
I roll on the one I’m after the most and have another piece in mind as a plan B if I lose or there’s only a few seconds left so I give myself a chance if at least leaving with something I need on a job
Is there a reason for the roll to last that long? I feel like it's really not necessary. 2 minutes would be more than enough, 1:30 would be ideal. Square should reduce the time you can wait to roll and let those obnoxious creatures eat dirt.
I will just sit there and wait in hopes I actually win stuff if someone refuses to roll until the last minute. They are betting on everyone getting annoyed and leaving. I however have the patience and grumpy streak to ruin their plan.![]()
They are right that some people leave if they wait, but not everyone does, so they shouldn't wait the full time.
Sometimes it's people doing this but sometimes they just went afk after the kill or they are watching a cutscene.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

Its been a thing for a long time. The fault is really on the developers honestly. The loot timer to roll should be significantly shorter.
