I really wish they could provide all the content of the patch, IN the actual patch, instead of putting them in 6.21 and 6.25 and stuff. Just feels like they are trying to streeetch out peoples subs.

What do you mean how short? I just finished the MSQ part yesterday. Haven't even started IS or the next raid series yet. And that's not even counting PvP (which I'm just not into) or Extreme/Savage/Unreal or the relic quests and criterion dungeons coming out in the mid-patch. Hint: If you no-life content, there will never be enough for you to be satisfied. It is physically impossible to produce that much.
I expect it will finish before 7.0, and personally I'm fine with that. I think the reasoning might be exactly what you mentioned. We already did the "make an xpac out of a shard" thing; doing it again just with a different shard would seem dull and redundant in comparison. Time to move onto something new.Personally, I'm hoping they don't do away with the entire Void storyline before 7.0. I feel like they could easily make a full expac outta this Shard, Hells they did it with the First why not this one? Besides, a full on invasion of the Source is already narratively primed with Golbez seeking to do precisely that. It could even tie into Meracydia, a place many players wanna see and is ALSO tied to 13th lore.
I am happy with the 6.2 patch so far.
Cheers
Hell no. Feels already overwhelming having as much content as we get all at once, I can't imagine having even more on the same day. If anything I wish it was more spread out, especially with this community's habit of doing all the first week and then the PFs start to be rare after.
Everything they do is always about keeping subs, but people will do as they will.
As it's been noted, people feel overwhelmed when there's too much going on at once. (Look for Savage tier raiders to be happy with the opportunity to catch up on everything else before jumping into their weekly routine.)
It works in everyone's favor when things are spread like this. The team has less they need to potentially correct when content is spread. They also have more time to focus QA on what's been scheduled, so they can hopefully avoid corrections after patch. This means less downtime and more playtime.
That's kinda crazy to me. There are 6 other reflections of our world that can each be hugely unique and different to our own, and you think they should just ignore them all? In that case they may as well ignore all the other continents in eorzea too because we went to another continent in stormblood so doing it again with a different continent would be dull and redundant. At this point they literally can't do anything completely new in premise - we've had travelling the planet, betrayal, wars, killing god, travelling the universe, travelling to different dimensions and travelling through time- that covers basically all rough plot points available lol. So all they can do now is one of the above, but in a different way and with different plots and lore. Whether that be a new continent, a new war or a new shard is up to square, but none of it would be boring unless they're lazy or unimaginative about it.
What logic is this lol. If someone complain how we have little content right now, people will defend the game by saying "but do you do unreal? EX? Island sanctuary?? That's the content bro!"
By that logic, adding all those things in 6.2 instead of 6.25 isn't that much different. People will still get content, and they're free to choose which they're going to do first.
The knights are circling the wagons. People can't handle too big of a patch on patch day it is overwhelming, and oh no poor devs you even make MMO's bro. This community
At least the comment it is about cash. At least you can respect that and it is right. SE is into money making, and the devs facilitate that. It is a shame if something you are interested is moved to half patch. You could have been half a year between something you were really looking forwards to.
