Well we are looking forward to a pretty sizeable follow up. 6.25 is going to give us the beast tribe and the criterion dungeons. There's also savage coming in a few days.
Content in this game is what you make of it. If you are a casual player, you can do the story of the content and then logout the same day and return for the next patch.
If you want more out of the game there are rewards to farm such as mounts, minions, orchestrions, housing items and glamour.
For example, there is a new pvp series and that should keep you busy for a long time increasing rank to get the rewards and the island sanctuary is time-gated, so it takes some time to get all of the rewards. The new raids have glamour with effects and a minion to farm for. But a casual player wouldn't bother with any of these things and just do the content once.
The other post makes a good point as well, which is that the patch content is spread across smaller patches.
In other news, there is no technical debt from 1.0.
"We don't have ... a technological issue that was carried over from 1.0, because ARR was meant to kind of discard what we had from 1.0 and rebuild it from the engine."

tbh I really wish they gave us base level manderelics in 6.21.
6.25 is too months away so the only grind for nonsavage raiders is weekly tome caps and island sanctuary. Im not even going hard in sanctuary but im lv6 out of 10 it wont take me two months to hit 10.
It ended? Which part speifically? msq? Cause there's a new ex to beat and farm, a new unreal to do weekly, new normal raids to do weekly, new savage content to prog, island sanctaury if that's somebody's thing, new map drops, new pvp stuff I guess and I'm probably forgetting something. Oh yeah new tomes and glams ofc.
This patch is huge. Bigger than most.
Let me know when you’ve cleared the PvP series, maxed out island sanctuary, cleared the new EX, cleared the new unreal, crafted your new raid gear and next week you’ll have to let me know when you cleared the savage tier, and in a few weeks you’ll have to let me know when you cleared all the variations of the criterion dungeons/variant dungeons, and then you’ll have to let me know when you’re done with the first relic.
Of course I’m extremely happy with the patch because I enjoy all aspects of it. If you want to limit yourself then you are going to find less to do.
I still miss my two dungeon patches. ;_;
Yeah, this new character and recent direction the story is taking with the void and the expanded lore behind voidsent and the nature of the 13th shard.
Oh just some small time anime filler. The new pieces of content alongside the rest that's still yet to come in 6.25, still is just whatever. Yup mhmm.
?? What exactly you're comparing 6.2 with?
The MSQ took around 4 hours (and that was with insta queues for the dungeon and trial), reading the dialogue at a normal pace and not skipping cutscenes.
Raid story, I didn't time it, but together with the fights and the waiting times, it certainly took around the same amount of time as any other raid patch storylines.
The Island feature, while understanding that is not for everyone's taste, is a huge time sink
Savages start next week, and if you're into that, progging is another huge time sink for the average player
There are more CC ranks and rewards to be earned
And in about 2 months we are supposed to get 6.25 which will bring Relic Weapons, Tribal quests and Criterion dungeons, which by themselves can also be time consuming, especially if the Relic weapons are (and certainly will) be gated behind grinding some stuff. Criterion dungeons have the base version with storyline replayability and the harder versions for progging time sinks.
I honestly think this patch got more than the average amount of content.
