    Phantom Rush Clipping

    This is a very minor monk mention, but I need to say it because I need to get it out.

    As someone whom pretty much also always uses the Double Solar opener because I enjoy lining up Brotherhood and 2 minute buffs with Phantom Rush, I have a problem with Phantom Rushes animation. Because Brotherhood floods you with Chakra, you pretty much always clip Phantom Rushes animation with Forbidden Chakra.

    I can't be the only one bothered by this, right? Such a cool climax and animation that I never get to see. Please remove the ability for OGCDs to clip Phantom Rush, it makes me incredibly sad every time I use it.

    Look forward for the next Mnk rework they are gonna fix everything!! *sarcasm*

    Jokes aside is the most neglected melee dps job and one of the most of the entire game, so don't expect much of SE after ignoring loads after loads of feedback just to make a surprised Pikachu face when the job remains as inpopular as usual barring the moments when it's seriously overturned and over performs the other dps jobs

    Forbidden Chakra is a bit long for an OGCD, but the tempo feels pretty nice. It's mostly that Phantom Rushes animation is the length of the entire OGCD. Heck, even animations like Rising Phoenix look fine being clipped due to its speed and emphasis on spell effects. I just wish something could be done about Phantom Rush since it's mostly about the character movement but that's the very thing that gets clipped.

    Forbidden Chakra feels more like a finisher, TBH. While Brotherhood disallows the MNK to use FC under their own discretion. The way those two skills tie together, and the Chakra gauge in general has always been janky.

    They could just simply untie those two skills. There would need to be some potency adjustments to compensate for that loss, and they could probably add it to TK and PR considering those animations take up the entire GCD. Attention to minute details in job design would make it so that skills like TK and PH have no skills to follow them up with so that way they feel like a true finisher.

    My Idea for a Monk rework would be that Monk plays more like a Fighting Game Character:
    A 3 tier Punch Combo for Burst
    A 3 tier Kick Combo for Buffs
    the Job Meter to be a kin to an Energy Meter from Fighting Games aswell.. you know what? just give Monk N-Groove from Capcom vs SNK 2! with the addition of Super Moves and EX-Booster options like Kaiten.. oh wait that would be fun, so we cannot, nevermind.. but I have a serious suspicion that Positionals will bite the dust in 7.0

    How they can make some monks like Tifa on the Remake so ridiculously fun and make FF14's MNK so bland and devoid of soul (besides a Sabin eastern egg with Phantom Rush skill) is something I cant really grasp, honestly

    if they would give Monk a Soul, Monk would've had a Special Limit Break Animation in O5+S Sigmascape 1.0, SUPLEX THE TRAIN
