I don't particularly care that much, since I usually play with english text and JP voices (or EN voices if its an american game) when given the chance.
But I can't deny that even a text-only translation in Spanish would do wonders to attract more of my friends.

If it happens, I hope is neutral spanish.

Furthermore, every single bit of quest dialogue in TESO is voiced as well...
Good for them? ESO also lets you block a power swing from a two-handed greatsword by holding up a flimsy wooden bow and watching the greatsword just bounce off of it. Their crafting system also relied extremely heavily on trading with other players, whereas FFXIV lets you level crafting largely if not entirely on your own. The simple fact is that every game will have pros and cons compared to others. ESO can have whatever it wants. I played it back in the day and found it not to my taste. I like FFXIV a lot more.

All of which has nothing to do with Theodric's comments addressing a specific comment made regarding TESO. Perhaps follow the thread of discussion before simply firing off a post just for the sake of reactively defending XIV.

    But good for you?

Does it? Oh, because I'm supposedly against the idea? I live in the real world, where it takes a little more than a notion to pop something into existence.

    I support this.

I am Spanish but mostly play games in English so I wouldn't be personally affected. However, many more people would play the game if at least the text was in Spanish. The audio can remain in either English or Japanese if hiring voice actors was a problem at the beginning, although it should also be translated in the medium/long term, maybe by steps.

Also it's not only Spain that speaks Spanish, but basically all of Latin America. Even Brazil has Spanish as a 2nd language over English, at least from my understanding.

I think it would be a good idea to have Spanish as an option in the future, doesn't hurt to hope, right?

As an aside, I know there are Spanish speaking communities in the game but his is anyone supposed to find them??
