Also it's economics that play a part - the reason there are German and French translations in the game is because they're the two main economies in Europe (larger than the UK even) so there is a far greater economic incentive to SE to support those languages in the game, and English is considered a de facto world language.

Unfortunately Spain's economy is not as large as their neighbour, and even many of the countries of South America where Spanish is spoken as an official language... are in economic turmoil, so the financial burden to SE is probably considered to be just too great I'm sorry to say.

I really doubt this is the case.

There are several MMORPG translated in Spanish (WOW, ESO, GUILD WARS 2) to name a few, I really, really doubt that the latest makes more money than square with their game.

ESO had no Spanish localization and they added it recently.

That sounds like just text localization. Over here, it would mean text and voice, which I assume is the only way they would add it on. Text translation probably exists already.

Korea gets their own localization and version of the game and I believe there's another company that handles that.

The UI in Spanish is good enough, I don't think that's too much to ask
