Clarity on whether the PvP Series 1 "Archfiend" set will be available any other way?

So, this seems to be a source of some small amount of contention. Some people say there was word that the Archfiend set would be available via Trophy Crystals, while others have said that may have been a mis-translation. Or it's also possible that perhaps that was the plan, but it was changed for some reason.

I can't speak for anyone else of course, but I would certainly love to know whether or not that might eventually be attainable again, or what the plan is on that.

I do agree with Terin here. Not everyone likes hardcore PVP and not everyone have allot of time to do PVP let those old gear be available by obtaining with Trophy currencies. At least some ppl will be happy. I have them all the glasses and the archfiend armor so for me it is ok that other ppl that doesn't like PVP allot to get them anyway in other means. Please fix this!

You don’t need to hardcore pvp to get the rank 25 rewards unless you want to parade around in it week 1. Just do one frontline a day and you’ll get it in two months or so. Thats what I did to get the arch fiend set in Season 1.

That's good and all but doesn't explain why it was hinted season 1 rewards would carry over.

I imagine that it will remain exclusive for the current season and then pop up in trophy rewards thereafter, since they'll need new trophy rewards soon and that will be the best way to please everyone.

There is nothing hardcore about the archfiend armor. You got battlepass progress for losing in CC aswell. Bring it back if you want, i dont care.

because they did? the vast majority of season 1 rewards were moved to the Trophy Crystal vendor, Even if the Archfiend set wasn't included in that, it may have been an exception as the 'final' reward for season 1. If i had to guess, the mount in season 2 will be the same way.

Personally i like it this way. having most of the rewards being available for Trophy Crystals, but excluding the final reward for finishing a series feels fair.

Like I said, I'd mostly just like clarification. If it comes back later, awesome. If it's not coming back... well, that's a bummer, but at least we'd know.

You don't really need to go hardcore into PvP. I didn't do any pvp all season, with exception here and there, and then blitzed pvp in the last two weeks to get twenty levels or so. Not the best use of ones time, but I could have spaced that two week blitz over the whole pvp season. I'll do that this go around, and probably have everything by mid-season and get xp or tokens to boot.
And if people don't like pvp at all and don't want to do it? Well... that's the way the cookie crumbles really. There will be things in game I'll never get because I don't want to do the content, and I had to make peace with that.

I'd say you know now. If its not available anywhere, its not intended to be; Best to act as if its not coming back, and just be pleasantly surprised if it does.

Wouldn't really call it hardcore. You could lose every single match and still get the set. And you had 4 months to do it.

I could maybe see them making the set available another way in a few patches. But yeah, it seems to be fully unavailable right now (except for those who technically earned it but didn't claim it yet).
