I was putting together a chain on my third workshop and everything was giving me the efficiency chain bonus. When I put the final item in the chain the item before it lost its efficiency chain bonus.

I tried rearranging these slots several times and using different items that would give a chain had the same thing happen. I tried swapping out the item without clearing the last item and it persisted. I cleared that workshop's entire day and redid it with the exact same items that had had an issue in the same order to see if it was somehow related but clearing the day seemed to have fixed whatever had happened.

It's minor and easily fixable in game, and if there's a way to repeat it I don't know it.
