I want the fairies to finally do something different again, even if it’s something as minor as slight stat differences, just anything to add more gameplay variety.

I find it very bizarre how they keep creating new White Mage specific tools that are names taken from Scholar's toolset.

"Lily" is the faerie's true name with "Eos" and "Selene" being different phases of her, and then Stormblood introduced Lilies as White Mage's gauge mechanic. There are 260,000 species of flowers in the world, and "Lily" was the only one White Mage could've used? Shadowbringers introduced Summon Seraph. Bozja's Seraphic Strike later got adjusted into a PVP action for White Mage.
