Feedback on the delay of Savage

Being able to have time to do the story first with friends was just so, so good. My raid appreciated it so much. AND we got to do the extreme primal first! That has never happened. I'm running some learning parties for my FC this weekend, its so nice to be able to do this!

The other tiers where we had to rush through raid story was just depressing. We'd get into these fights like, hey wait, is that Thancred? This is Thancred. Why are we fighting Thancred? Midgard? Who are these shiny metal people? What is a Mitron and how does he know Gaia?



Unless I'm confused here, what do you mean? They were released. The crafted gear, food and pots are out.

Oh I see. So now raiders have time to craft their own stuff people aren't making gil. Lmao. Meh, most of my group just didn't sleep trying to get gear out so I can't say I feel sorry for anyone here.

I've got to agree, thank you SE for delaying the release of savage! I loved this adjustment before and still find it very useful.

In the past, I would have to ignore MSQ while all my other friends are doing it and chatting about it, so I could prep properly. It was a rush to find the right pre-raid gear, not to mention I craft for my whole raid team so if I didn't take a vacation or sick day from work irl, there was no way to make it happen and we'd be at a disadvantage to other groups. It's also given us proper time to find a few replacements in our static.

This has been a very peaceful pre-raid week and I'm really grateful. I've gotten to enjoy many aspects of the patch before even worrying about gear and the gather/craft grind.

At least on Light the gear has been selling like hotcakes and at times with absurd price like 3-5 million a piece, it seems the player growth has pushed for even more active market than previously. Even though more money wise people will probably wait for the latest moment to get the gear a bit cheaper or have their crafter friends lined up with tome mats and other stuff.

This is a myth.

I can understand why players were afraid demand would drop, but Classical gear actually crashed in price much faster than the current set. DoH, DoL materia and gear has been a goldmine too. It's been a great patch for raking in gil.

I think the misconception is the idea that only sweaty hardcore savage raiders buy gear. Casual players actually can't get enough of the stuff. Players just like shiny gear, they don't care if they don't need it for the content they're running, they want it, they like bigger numbers and higher ilv. The greater bulk of the gear market has always been casuals.

On topic, the Savage delay has been great. I'm enjoying a relaxed week, EX is fun, it's nice to get to craft a bit and I'm just looking more forward to the current tier. Best change they've made in a while.
