Then don't take this the wrong way, but it could just be you've hit your wall.I've done Ex 1 and 2, I've done p1s and p2s multiple times with weekly reclears. The new Unreal is at least on par with p2s in terms of difficulty from my experience last night. Proging and weekly reclears on p2s for the 6 weeks it took to get what I wanted were absolute torture and completely unpredictable.
Watch Mizzteq's guide on YouTube, stack left as a dps, stack right as a healer/off-tank, bait the ground attack before positioning for the blue knockback marker and deal enough dps to boss and the wind add. That's it.
The difficulty is appropriate for an Extreme fight and not much different from Shiva Unreal or Titan Unreal. Weapon Unreal was too easy.
This will be fixed for you when you get your clear. "Duty Complete" groups are a mile ahead and you'll be able to get easy 30 min reclears every week from then on.

^ 1mil time this
The entirety of phase 1 and 2 feels like a doorboss and p3 is basically a completely seperate fight with no overlap. Having to repeat the first two phases over and over and over and over just to get any meaningful progress is spirit-breaking. Bacially have to completely reset your brain every single time because the first two phases have absolutely nothing to do with phase 3. This is where my frustration is coming from, well this plus how f'ing hard to recognize the flash before the pillars is.
That's fine, but like I said, this isn't Sav. Expecting something that rewards pets/minions/glamours to be on par in difficulty with content that rewards character progression is a bit much in my view (with the obv exception being Ultimate weapon skins). Especially when you have people who were doing UW clears with their fc previously and then after the patch you basically hit them in the face with a sledgehammer and say "get lost scrub".

Every high end raid rewards you with this though? That's fine, but like I said, this isn't Sav. FCs will be able to do unreal clears once you know, people get a grasp on the mechanics? Don't see what would change really.
Unreal > Extreme isn't it? Try the extreme min ilvl or at least synced to learn mech and unreal will be a easier. Unreal is just extreme with bigger damage sponge...
There is a big difference between "able to clear it once" and "able to clear it weekly". The mechanics being like a current tier Sav where one f-up by one person can mean a wipe, i don't see that happening. I see having to invest 1-2h per clear per week in the PF just to get screwed over by box placement in the minigame and get 15 leaves. I could tolerate that annoyance when I was investing 30-45 minutes for 2 clears, not when I'm investing several hours due to the massive increase in difficulty. Anyone who thinks this is going to smooth out after a few weeks either is running it with a static or completely delusional. This morning I watched a [Duty Complete] retell group fail to fill/relist for 90+ minutes in the PF. And that was 1 of only 2 or 3 groups listed for several hours.
Ok? So what do you want?I'm willing to concede Ultimate Weapon may have been under-tuned, but this is straight up awful and i hate it.
Four hours last night with nothing to show for it except missing clumps of hair and cracked teeth. Saw repeat of p3 mechanics twice, in 4h, 38% best run. Numerous insta-wipe mechanics, hard to see telegraphs (the ****ing flash before the pillars!). It might as well be 2 entirely separate fights, because p3 has no mechanical overlap with the previous phases.
Unreal was the one piece of high end content I could do reliably on a weekly basis without wanting to smash my head against my desk. What purpose does this massive ramp up in difficulty serve? Chase off all the people who were doing UW reliably in PF last patch? Because I sure as hell don't want to waste another 4h trying to get a clear, I did Sav in PF last tier where weekly reclears were a complete crapshoot, I have no desire to repeat that.
Thanks for giving me one less reason to log in. I bet 1mil gil that my fc wont even be able to fill a group next week after last night without 4/8 PuGs. I don't want to do it again, that's for sure.
Say his name!
I pretty clearly stated that previously. There needs to be something between face-roll easy and sledgehammer to the face for multiple miserably hours of prog followed by weeks of miserable failed reclears. If I wanted that, I'd go throw myself in the reeking cesspit that is PF Sav for another tier (thankfully there isn't anything i want this time around). I want to be able to have a moderate difficulty in content that I feel like I have accomplished something when I have invest multiple hours of time instead of feeling miserable afterwards, with nothing but multiple additional hours of wiping to look forward to.
Each one has its own content and difficulty.
I tried, for a while, to clean up the P1, P2 and P3 in PF. I didn't manage to finish P3. Partially because doing such coordinated fights with strangers is... Infuriating, at best. But also because I strongly feel that I now don't have the mentality to do this kind of content. I don't feel like joining a guild, nor do I feel like beating my head against a wall like I did on WOW for hours.
I don't see myself storming the forum and screaming that P3 needs to be more accessible to solo players. Because it's normal that all difficulties can coexist. Extreme difficulties included. They are not meant to be for everyone. Like anything that requires an investment, it is also normal that they come with unique rewards. If people are not prepared to make these investments, they do not have to receive these rewards.
It's simple logic. And, not to be unkind, but I'm always amazed that many people refuse to see it applied in video games. IRL, it wouldn't occur to anyone to complain about not being able to draw if they don't take the time to work seriously on drawing. So why do people in JVs complain about not having access to certain things when they refuse to invest in them?
