How about this for a response. Why are you bringing attention to these shops in the first place? If its about the whole "this is removed from the rest of the game" argument, I think you're misinterpreting the idea here. Its removed from the rest of the game as in "this is not a required thing to do in order to progress in other aspects of the game such as msq, raids, gearing etc."

In case you want to point out that the vendors sell IX tier materia for gear maximing, you do realize there's multiple ways to acquire them and this is just yet another way you can obtain them if you so wish?

So this started because on page 1 I mentioned that I wasn't entirely sure what I was aiming for with the IS. I stated that I wasn't sure what the connections/benefits to the rest of the game would be. Maybe poor wording on my part but queue multiple people quoting me telling me that I didn't watch the PLL(I did) and repeating the same old tirade of "this is removed from the rest of the game."

I then posted the shops pointing out there were some cosmetics, minions, orchestration rolls and other items in there(that I would like) and that I was curious if there might be more in the future in some form.

This was never about the materia. I'm sure you'll just label all of it as optional(which it is but that's not even the argument) or state that it's irrelevant(because let's face it, most of the player base decides that anything they don't want is irrelevant).

Either way, all I did was ask a question and people choose to be rude about it, so I choose to be rude back. This wasn't about making any points, it was just a simple, curious question. Take that as you will.

Imagine how much better the game industry would be if consumers didn't pay for games until they were relatively certain the game would meet their expectations instead of blinding throwing money around before release just to end up disappointed (the games industry doesn't care at that point - you already gave it your money).

I know a lot of people don't watch PLLs, but this was something Yoshida covered many times—it's removed from existing systems so it can exist on its own terms without outside influence.
It's meant to be a personal thing for you to pursue that doesn't influence or affect the game outside of it in any way.

Its gonna be required for the relic somehow, I just know it.
