Game Crashing - Steam Version

I have the steam version of FFXIV and have not even been able to see the title screen when I hit Play in the launcher.

I have tried a multitude of fixes (from both Reddit and here) including reinstalling, verifying, repairing, changing to DX9, launching with and without steam overlay, disabling optimisation of the full-screen mode, etc and nothing has worked. In fact, it used to have a black screen and only crash if I clicked on my screen, now it just crashes without me having to click at all lol. I have reverted any settings I've changed just in case and tried different combinations of these things as well.

My game worked completely alright yesterday prior to the patch, and now I cannot get it to work at all.

I know that people are probably super busy, but I've seen nothing addressing this issue and it appears that quite a few people are having this and not able to play the patch/are playing it through less than ideal means.

Any help would be appreciated!

For myself I keep getting these crashes (pictures taken from a different post from 5.1), for myself when ever I go into a cutscene my game crashes.
I have tried:
1. Re-installing my game
2. sfc /scannow
3. underclocking gpu
4. DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth now
5. Re-installing graphics drivers
6. launch everything in admin
7. Run in compatibility mode
8. Delete local profile data
9. Restarting computer (multiple times)

I think there were more things but I can't remember I've been trying to fix it since the patch launch today.

Same issue here, but sometimes the game just works, even if I do nothing diferent.

I've been getting all of these exact errors the minute I try to enter a cutscene. Also had it upon changing my class.

I just wanna play some FF Harvest Moon

yeah like, I have also tried all that and more. Looking at my firewall, changing some boot up settings, changing a property that disables prioritising full-screen or something, downloading a microsoft thing, launching in safe mode... Basically, you name it and I've tried it. Some of these fixes work for some it seems, but not everyone. I just hope they fix it for us so we can play. This is such a big patch and so many people cannot play it. I have friends who booked this week off of work to play and can't.

Purplebun in the other thread about this issue told us about a temporary fix that seems to work, at least until Steam or the FF team fix it officially:

A temporary fix for the issue until SE fix the Steam Overlay integration that is causing this

1. Launch the game through Steam
2. Log-in with your account details, but DO NOT press the Play button
3. While the launcher is on the screen where you can see the Play button, launch the Task Manager, and end the Steam process
4. After Steam has been forcibly closed, press Play
5. The game should work as normal

Unfortunately this didn't work for me, game still crashes when ever I enter cutscenes and I don't even get an error message to tell me what caused the crash it just simply closes by itself.

We would like to further assist with this issue. Please provide a system report from the game by going to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.' Copy and paste the details of the selection to this post when replying back.
