It's click bait. She has responded to cherry-picked comments and avoided anything inconvenient to her worldview (or anything that involved details), so that people can continue flying into indignant rage over xenophobic abuse that almost certainly didn't actually happen (and would have been easily resolved in a two minute in-game report if it had). Nothing was learned or acknowledged and OP will continue to spread disinformation about DF language filters and how JP servers always run learning parties in DF with strangers who don't communicate with them.

You will find that these kind of wtfomgbbq problems are the result of:

1) joining a duty finder that is asking for you to be able to communicate in Japanese and, when it turns out you can’t understand what they are trying to tell you, there is frustration. Along the lines of “we made a group and asked for people who can communicate, why did they join when they clearly can’t… why are they wasting our time”

2) legit racism/bullying. I have never seen it personally, but it certainly exists. My entire experience has had nothing but overflowing patience from JP players.


3) attention seekers making crap up.

Op, if your story is true, report it and move on.

I can only guess this because we only get to see your side of the story. It sounds like you made several party-wiping mistakes and didn't bother to try and communicate the oopsies, or see what the party was trying to say until later. If you were on a NA server, you would most likely get kicked for refusing to communicate too. I think you are upset because you got kicked and embellished the story a bit when you should have just reported it and called it a day.

It interests me how people will always automatically assume anyone that posts a complaint thread had caused a bunch of wipes or otherwise provoked whatever issue they're complaining about in some way. We've no way of knowing if the OP is telling the truth or not, but not every single person with an issue is bad at the game or being reactionary. Dismissing every grievance with "I bet they deserved it" does no one any good.

The above aside, as someone that regularly plays on JP servers and is able to communicate passably in Japanese, I've seen more than a few times where a non-Japanese speaking individuals join a group decidedly not marked JP only and wind up spending the whole time being ridiculed. Often times this will stem partially from a failure on the part of the victim getting people riled up, but there are definitely times where this kind of behavior has occurred in spite of the foreign player performing their role adequately, knowing Japanese as opposed to Western strats, and executing any and all mechanics flawlessly.

Some people just suck. It's the way life works, and no amount of cultural acclimation will change this fact. Every demographic has intolerant, unkind people.

All those times over the years I see BR players hated on by NA players (Archeage was the worst for it for me, my last day playing that was brought about by the sheer racism and hatred on that) is in a similar state.

So why did the OP, a non-Japanese but Japanese-speaking player playing on the JP servers, assume that the players engaged in the alleged bad behavior were Japanese?
They could have been non-Japanese players, like the OP, who were trolling the OP.

Did the OP just assume the other players were Japanese because their bad behavior fit a stereotype about the Japanese that the OP holds? In other words, is it really the OP who is the racist here?

So yea, Elemental player here been following this thread I pointed out the issue early on, you do not practise on duty finder on JP.

Something else is really bugging me, Japanese players would not in public chat say stupid foreigner, it would not happen.

Op says been on JP for 9 years and doesn't not know how JP data centres do things , I tend to agree with the stupid foreigner comment.

I believe the OP was kicked for not knowing the fight sure and that is never nice thing but the take away is DF is for farm on JP, and make sure know what you are doing.

Ok, so going off this theory, day 1 clears of Extreme content are:

1. Expected to know the entire fight before its even been worked out
2. get kicked for dying during DF prog.

You see where this arguement goes?

At the point of time this happened, there were no macros, no guides. it was all fresh and people were learning.

I was not the only one dying to mechanics, If it was just a kick because of the language barrier, whatever. I don't have "J" selected in my settings, If they have "E" selected on theirs then its their problem if they get partied up with international players.

How can you not know how it works here being from Tonberry, new player I guess. You do not prog in DF.
