Removed from Ex4 by Japanese group. Racist.

Going to rewrite this since people seem to this this is just a simple 'attack the japanese' post.

I was doing EX4 in 'DUTY FINDER', something that we do on JP servers when the content is pretty new, and everyone just learns the fight.

After 2-3 wipes leading into transition, i was removed from the group and didn't understand why until i went and translated some of the chat to english, where i was refered to as a "Stupid Foreigner' and told to 'go home'.

This is the first time in about a year i have seen people acting like this, the last time was 6.0 release in EX1/2 duty finder.

Just being clear, this is NOT attacking the JP playerbase, it's just sad to see that some of them still harbor bad feeling towards international players when some of us have played on the servers since 2013.

Any attitude like this is unacceptable from anyone in the game, Duty Finder will put you into groups with ANYONE. Please use party finder and make 'XX Only' groups or remove "E" from your matching settings if you do not want to participate in international parties.


Edit: Seems like it was just the one group, have not had a single issue clearing with other JP groups since, i really think i just ran into a few bad eggs.

Can you though? I've heard that most of them can easily tell if someone is using a translator and they can get really angry over it.

Anyway, from reading this thread, the only "difference" between racism and xenophobia seems to be that in japan many have a general hate of all foreigners. Personally, i fail to see the difference, and whatever excuse they use for treating others as their lessers doesn't make it right regardless of what you wanna call it.

Seriously this kinda stuff is half the reason I never like to play on the Japanese servers, they are far more exclusionist than any of the English speaking servers

I was on a Japanese server for a long time and NEVER ran into a problem. I simply understand that there is a different standard of behavior. You look up the fights and learn them before you join a party where others are involved. It is disrespectful to waste the time of another.

More than a couple of wipes and you will find yourself kicked or the party disbanded. Honest mistakes are a different thing and if owned are usually forgiven.

I cannot speak to what might have been said as I do not understand the language at all. I accepted longer queues and simply set my game to English only parties.

In a couple of years on Elemental I was never kicked nor did I have a party disband. I simply made sure I knew what I was doing before I went in.
