I want to see a fourth Battle Effect option

At this stage, I want to see somekind of a compromise between Full Battle Effects and Limited Battle Effects.

Just having a SMN present in any 8-man content is enough to just make seeing anything the boss is doing a massive pain. But while Limited effects truly is an option, it is just far too harsh a filter, it makes it feel like my party members are doing nothing around me.

Surely there could be a compromise between these two. Like if a Black Mage casts Fire4, it doesn't have to be the full explosion but a small fireball maybe.

And seeing Full Effects in Light Party content is fine anyway.

Ayche, uou have definitely identified something that can be improved, in my opinion.
While maybe a 4th effect option isn't the best or only way to do it, the difference between "Full" and "Limited" is way too stark. If they can't add a 4th setting, maybe they could just make Limited a little more showy?

I expect but can't say for sure that changes in this feature would be a completely client-side change; as far as I know, only a player sees the effects of their Battle Effect option choice.
If I'm right, it might not be too difficult for them to implement the improvement you want.

For your Smn issues: you can reduce the size of their summons by using the /petsize command.
It massively improves life while raiding with a Smn.

Well even with small primal models, the scope of those summon effects is huge.
Especially Titan paints the whole room orange.

I do agree with your OP. I'd like to see more ways to customize battle effects.
I was just suggesting a quick improvement for the issue you pointed out as well.
