Can't sow seeds on my Island?

Yes I went through the tutorial, yes I looked in the guide book, it says to select an item. So I open my inventory go to the Produce tab, there are my bunch of seeds and damned I can NOT select it to plant?

I know I got some pumpkin seeds from the NPC, and I HAD already gathered some. It really shouldn't matter, right?

Or should I go through the tortuous process of making a support ticket?

AND is this a known issue or is happening to others?

Never mind, I was trying to select the item from my Inventory, discovered an "Item" item in my control panel... d/oh.
