So, I use a produce based food to take the mood up to max for that, and then 6 hours latter, feed again with regular food before the mood shifts, and this lets me maintain top mood without spending produce.

Course this also means 24 apples per day to feed them twice to keep the mood from falling

Level 6 now, I should be able to power to level 7 today. At least I can sell crafts that will presumably be worth more with each level up. Really I should keep trying to get through these levels asap, but I need to take breaks inbetween. I think a second monitor or something to listen to like an audiobook or podcast is necessary.

Why would you need a second monitor to listen to something?

Second monitor to watch something on the side.

Yeah, but I want the hair, and the pasture upgrade costs 1000, the cropland upgrade costs 1000, demolishing the rocks or whatever to get the next landmark (I presume) costs 1000. I'd be cleaned out!

Yeah, I get that. There's a lot I want, but there's not much to be done until that currency starts flowing. I'm sitting around 450 waiting on things to be made and sold.

There's a weekly challenge of selling 20 items, which gives you 1000. There's another 1000 to be earned from harvesting. There's some achievement for earning like 17k in a week, so that's something to look forward to as you progress.

The 500 landmark set me back, but if I get the 1000 from the challenge log by selling some 4 hour garbage along with a couple 6 hour trash (with efficiency bonus).. 8 items shipped (?)... as long as those earn me enough.. by the end of tomorrow, I should be able to have JUST 6k to dump on one hair! I lost about two days because I didn't get in on Island sanctuary early.

Yes, I realize I should be building the upgrades with the initial currency, otherwise it will probably require half a week to even make back enough to get them started next week, but I do not really care.

only if you are deliberately ignoring the workshops. if you build up your efficiency bonus you can spend the rest of the week making the 6/8+ hour crafts that give tons of cowries. (just an FYI, the efficiency bonus doubles the amount of cowries you get from an item)

So after taking a good look at the exchange shop and reaching island level 7 so far, i must say im disapointed in this overhyped Yoshi Guy once again. It has the same issue like the Doman Enclave and Similar content. Once you are done, you are done. There is no point in sticking with this content longer than you need to, it dosent add any long term beneficals for the main game as far i could tell. You cant get resources for the real professions, you cant exchange the tokens in anything usefull (no i dont count the materia as usefull), except from the furnishings you cant sell anything fromt the exchange store on the market (would be otherwise a nice alternative way to earn some money) and there is not even an aetheryte there to teleport there directly.

At every stupid corner of FF14 is and Aetheryte, but when you travel to the Fareyman to visit your island again there is not even another cutscene that shows you on a ship travling to your island. I allready didnt expectet much from this content, seeing how SE behaved during the last years, but im still disapointet. The island could have been something nice to hang out or a different kind of content with replaybility like the gold saucer where it is rewarding to come back and doing the minigames again and again. But no SE screwed up once again.

Isn’t that the thing in any game though? You have no one to blame but yourself when you burn through the content as fast as you can and suddenly find yourself with nothing to do.
