    Why was the change in Jump/Mirage Dive reversed?

    The previous change ALREADY prevented people from pressing it by accident if they spammed the button.
    Not only that, but you >>>ALWAYS<<< could make it a different button via
    Code:
    /hotbar action <action name> <hotbar number> <slot number>
    The opposite, however, just isn't possible.

    I myself make Wanderer's Minuet and Pitch Perfect different buttons, but for High Jump and Mirage Dive, being in the same slot made it so much more comfortable, just why?

    Starting with 6.2, they explain all the changes at the bottom of the job guide. They link to that at the start of the battle system changes.

    In this case, it was player feedback.

    Saying it was player feedback is the same as not saying anything at all, a plethora of things are "player feedback".
    Granted, I mainly only discuss the game on Reddit, but I don't remember seeing anyone talking about this, is it a JP thing?

    It could be any number of sources where people actually provide feedback rather than just bicker endlessly.

    The combining of it was dumb, and actually caused more issues than it solved.

    Made it difficult to double weave the skills if you wanted to, and caused other issues.

    I never removed my original keybind for it. I hated the merge.

    That's... kinda the point here tho. The change doesn't really affect players like you at all. Having an extra key on the hotbar was always an option.

    For players that preferred saving a hotbar slot, keeping the skill merged is no longer an option.

    It wasn't just combining that was changed. They had to add a delay to it because you could fire it off accidentally.

    Which broke some things.

    I've thought openers separated HJ and MD by two GCD's, what did break specifically?

    Because sometimes you need to combine them for specific fights or you lose out on a lotd phase in some circumstances. If you only follow a strict rotation, sure its fine, but if you want to fine tune at all for DPS gains, it caused issues.
