most people who reply to artciles and websites are negative in general

youll see alot of press like this everywhere.

The biggest factor to remember, is a site that advertises every mmo, does just that, every mmo

so youll get your wow fanboys going into every non wow article saying anything they can about it negatively
and then youll get your aion fanboy who is sad that his game is f2p going into everyone elses demanding they fail and go f2p too and so on and so forth

rarely will anyone ever really go into their own games reviews and threads cuz what do they care, they are already playing it

I hope SE does something like that with the cataclysm leading into 2.0.
Very few movies, novels, or even musical performers are new. On a long enough timeline things will be repeated. In addition, if something breeds success it will repeated. Was there anything original about the Pirates of Caribbean movies? No. In fact, they were ripoffs of Monkey Island. But were they mostly enjoyable? Absolutely. The point is that it isn't the actual content but rather how well its done.

Dane Cook doesn't actually say anything funny - he just says it in a funny way...sometimes.

People are critical and skeptical of the game's future success, because it's not an easy thing to just completely revitalize an MMO after it's launched. Especially with S-E saying they're going to keep the pay-to-play model for FF. That's basically unheard of in the industry that a failed MMO will be able to relaunch 2 years after initial release and people will pay real money for it. So a lot of the so-called "bitching" people keep complaining about is, in my opinion, legitimate skepticism from a jaded fanbase and industry. They're not die-hard fans, they aren't going to hold their breath expecting miracles.

And honestly, if you look back at what was promised to us pre-launch of the original game, they have every right to be skeptical. I was digging around yesterday trying to find some old comment from Tanaka that had come up in conversation, and I found this article about the game. Here's my favorite quote:

"For skilling up, they want to move away from the endless grinding against enemies, and instead allow a more fluid process of growth through quests."

Anyone remember how leveling was at launch? It was certainly not the opposite of a complete and utter mindless grindfest. That's just one example, and honestly I'm not really trying to beat a dead horse here (inb4 "LOL this is a new team!"), I'm trying to shed some light on why many people are skeptical of the relaunch. They've heard promises before.

How about Free Companies? We've been told since 2010 that full details on Free Companies were "just around the corner," and we still know next to nothing about them.

Anyway, I have nothing but hope for 2.0 and a successful relaunch, but it isn't mystifying why so many people are still not convinced.
