got a question. Is there a reason why there are some teams that help out opposing teams at all? If so why what do they get out of it

When you deal with human beings, never count on logic or consistency.
Fluid like water. Smooth like silk. Pepperoni like pizza.
If you mean frontlines. The score is fluid. So If I am in third place I want to help second bring score down for first place team. While doing that. I want to complete objectives. If second pulls off of first to chase us, it is game over. So they can let us score easy point or lose the game. Biggest comeback I have seen is over 1000 points.
Depends on score and objective control. There's a lot more nuances that separate the decisions in Frontlines, but that's too much to explain for a general overview of PvP. The main 3 reasons are:
If first place has a high lead, the second and third place team would use numbers to swarm the 1st place to control their objective capture and pressure them. At the same time, it can possibly cause them to lose Battle High, thereby allowing the other teams to catch up.
If the third place is abysmal, it's equal grounds to stomp on them for faster accumulation of Battle High. Of course, it still requires an opportunity and timing of objective locations. Plus, it can still let the chance of the first or second place to pull farther ahead.
Sometimes, players just doesn't see the objective, or just want to do their own thing.
That is the worst part, at that point they aren't even trying to win. Second and third playing with each other while the score slowly drifts away. RNG doesn't help though, I wish it was more intelligent. Nothing like all spawns funnelling third place into second place.
