    Crits are fine. In a game where where bosses have this much HP the odds will more or less even out the damage over time. The only people who care about damage variance being "unfair" is the type who thinks ranking 101th damage dealer rather than 100th, because the next guy got one more lucky crit, actually has any meaningful difference. Besides it's a fools errand anyways when there will always be unfair damage cutoff based on bursts/kill times and latency.

    Why SE is going so far out of their way to cater to turboparsers when the game is intentionally built to discourage that kind of dick measuring is anyone's guess. Seem schizophrenic to me.

    But in reality the game could eliminate rng in attacks and balance it in such a way that it works just the same and you probably wouldn't notice. because the crit from what happens so often as to be a normal thing and not an extraordinary thing as the intention of the crit was born.

    To what benefit? I'll definitely notice every DPS buff is the same boring flat potency.

    if you consider the game itself nothing, if not to have damage calculations less wobbly. But also the disadvantages are not there, so the problem does not arise in any way.
    in fact, one is attentive to the infinity of numbers on the screen to actually see that the damage changes ... Sure. Besides the fact that you are stating that reading a small 20% crit chance or 8% damage drastically changes your game... Well that's the keys, that's the game. Absolutely nothing changes on the gameplay side, but only on the calculations side (and for the better). It is one thing if the crit happened 2 times to fight while remaining in the values of the crit that gives you satisfaction or frustration (it depends on the game and the context and who receives the crit hit), it is one thing to have it so often that you don't even notice.
    1) it is not meritocratic, but it is a server that decides if you do more damage or less (as I wrote before if the crit was based on states, positions and skill combinations like souls it would make a lot more sense in a modern game)
    2) you just don't notice it if you play for the sake of playing and not to be first in the world. And even more so, if you want to be first in the world where everything is decided by randomness, it is also and only frustrating.
    So for those who play for the sake of playing absolutely nothing changes, while for those who want to be first in the world the experience is less frustrating. So I don't understand the point of wanting to complain if they eliminate bad randomness in the game

    I’m confused, weren’t the crit dh buffs supposed to make midare stronger? I seem to be hitting the exact same. Or is this one of those things that won’t show substantial impact until we hit the new crit threshold after some savage gear or something?

    don't the stat weights change with every new raid tier? aka crit / dh weights will change again eitherway?

    ....

    (it will never be 100% crit.., even if Rng sucks, the game needs those occasionally high numbers to shine.., if they're always at max / 100 crit, than the numbers can get boring)
