Is this some other unwritten rule of posting on these forums that I have to be one of her simps?

There's a very vocal portion of FFXIV players who try to accuse people of hating women if they ever criticise someone who happens to be a woman. This extends to fictional characters as well - such as people who dislike Venat being accused of 'hating women' despite that not being the case at all.

In other words, it's just a blatant example of trying to poison the well.
