The general unpleasantness of some people in this thread aside...I don't think it's a bad idea on paper to lower the price of subscriptions depending on the location and the situation. I'm just not sure how they'd do that with something that is largely regional, or where they'd draw the line. It's definitely not a simple request.
I think a lot of people are a bit aggressive because they know how this goes and they're just tired. Not really an excuse but still.The general unpleasantness of some people in this thread aside...I don't think it's a bad idea on paper to lower the price of subscriptions depending on the location and the situation. Pausing housing demos for these things is fine, but going even further than that is a bit much. There's a lot of complications with currencies, lost profits, blaming and whatever else that's thrown into the mix. It's one of those things where life isn't fair and chances are you'll make things worse if you try to actually make it fair.
I also think some people are just bitter because truth be told, human suffering and awful life changing events occur constantly around the world, sometimes on a national scale but sometimes not so much. They feel bitter because people seem to pick and choose who to support.

Didn't y'all ukrainians wanted to be a part of EU? Well, if you want to then you have to pay the same amount people in EU are paying. Also if you have the time to be in a game in a middle of war then I'm sure you'll be able to also find the money to pay for it.
Answer these 4 questions please OP.
* Only your side in the war? Or all sides in all wars?
* Should the Russian side also get the free/discounted time?
* Should Brazillian or Columbian players get regional pricing?
* What about natural disasters?

Honestly, I don't really care what their reasons are. It's not that hard to show a least a modicum of empathy. As I said before though, the OP is not making a small request. There's a lot of factors to consider, and I fully understand that myself, which is why both sides have valid points. One is more hostile than the other, however, and that's not really okay.I think a lot of people are a bit aggressive because they know how this goes and they're just tired. It's not happening, and it shouldnt, period.Honestly, I don't really care what their reasons are. It's not that hard to show a least a modicum of empathy. I am not sure where all the vitriol is even coming from - I went back and reread his post. He is NOT asking for free subs, or discounts. It sounds more like he is asking Square to look into the way regional pricing for subscriptions is done. Why would this be a bad thing? Would this not benefit many places, not just the Ukraine? Wouldn't it benefit places like South America if Square looked into it? It also might benefit Square itself in the form of yet more subscriptions? Just some thoughts.
The base sub in Australia (Not entry level) is $13/month.
Thats $328.80 Ukraine.
That's our NORMAL sub rate.
Call me insensitive but your barely 30% more than a normal subscription in other countries, that is not a big problem to start crying about.
Did you know Brazilian players pay $6.80 AUD/month for a sub?
Id love for them to standardize the price worldwide to match the lowest rate, would make this game cost nothing to play.
