This is why we still can't get housing, people are still selling FC houses for hundreds of millions of gil... here is an add from the housing discord that originally was to help people find houses to bid on, but has basically become a for sale site.

Now I actually have switched servers so I could attempt to get a FC house, or an individual house, and still can't get one. At what point is Square Enix going to put a stop to these people making multiple accounts grabbing up houses to sell for gil to then turn that gil into real world money?

I simply want my own FC, with a medium or heck at this point small house. Not much to ask considering I pay the same amount as all these other people.

I just find it very fishy that so many houses are being grabbed up by fake FC's who never level past level 6 only to be sold for millions of gil or more. For a small the going price is now 400 million gil....and sorry but that just simply sickens me.

Either start tracking this discord and banning accounts linked with those FC's being sold for hundreds of millions or billions of gil, or make new wards so those of us who do not have a house who want one can finally have the honor of owning one.

Yeah this stuff needs to be put stop to. It's gone unchecked for so long. They know they can't do it through party finder so they take to other social media outlets to do it behind SE's back. I feel Square knows this, because if they don't by now, then they need to get a better enforcement team on the job. It hurts the housing market and the paying customer who is trying to get a plot through normal means. It's like the rich get richer and the rest is SoL.

RMTing will only slow down/stop in housing if the supply issue is fixed and by letting everyone have the opportunity to own a house instead of having limited wards. Until then, people will still buy houses and RMTers will still make money.

You didnt read the OP Post didnt you? They sold it for Gil. And before you argue 1B Gil has to be RMT. Well every further discussion would be a waste of time. Ah f*** it I'm bored anyway. Yoshi warned us before he gave in into private housing (which a lot the FCs are potentially used for now) that riches will getting more houses and therefore getting even richer. But hey, we wanted it badly

And even if Square would guarantee everyone a house, then people would would start complaining "Its not an LB41 or an M35", "Why does my house have to be in the ugly Goblet area", "Its snowing to much in Empy", "Why doesnt Empy have a Beach where I can present my horny WoL in a Bikini" etc. etc. etc. etc.

At this point we can only hope that we can build a House on our Island someday which grants us one of the same Inhouse Instances accessed via the Ward System that we can decorate.

That's what happens when the supply of houses is so far below the amount needed to satisfy demand.

It's unfortunate that you did not resolve to get a FC house at the launch of Empyreum. Due to the initial ward distribution, getting a FC house was pretty much a guarantee - even on servers like Balmung and Mateus. Personally, I did not intend to make a shell FC as a means of obtaining a house, but in hindsight, that would have been the wise course of action.

I hope you didn't switch servers to Mateus in order to get a house. That's the other server that runs out of apartments :P .

You can't use discord investigations as a means to ban people. There's a strict reason why they don't do so. What's to stop someone from creating a fake discord impersonating you and posting your house for sale without your consent or knowledge. I certainly know some people petty enough to go to ridiculous extremes to get someone they don't like banned.

I know this is frustrating and unfair. People circumventing the system still. But if gms start using discord as evidence for bans that opens up another can of worms.

What made you think that transferring to the most heavily populated server in the world was a good way to get a house? No, it's not Balmung. It's Mateus. Mateus has been at the top of the population list for a while now.

Why didn't you transfer to one of the lower population NA worlds that actually has dozens of houses left in the FC wards?

Also, you need to remember the Prohibited Activity refers to purchasing a house with the intent to resale. If you bought a house, used it for several months or year then decide to sell for gil because you were transferring server, no longer wanted the house, etc. then that's okay.

Being a house in the Goblet, I doubt it was a recent purchase just for resale (and Shibi's information below seems to confirm that it was not).

On the other hand, if a FC buys a house, an ad goes immediately up, a new member joins the FC and then is made FC Master 30 days later while everyone else in the FC leaves, there's something fishy going on.
