Servers Active Playtimes

So I currently play on Behemoth, and my time zone is PST. I usually play on and off from 4am-6pm. I want to start playing on a different server because my early playtime doesnt really match up with Behemoths active times, which is mostly Eastern Time.

So my question is, is there a server thats active around those times PST? Early mornings and evenings?

I couldnt raid with my old FC because they would start when my boyfriend and I got off to go to get ready for bed, and most people Ive met or come across on Behemoth is on Eastern Time.

You would have to switch data centers unless you're not having que time difficulties. 6pm is kind of early so unless you could find one that could run in the early morning pst. If nothing else you could try and start your own. You seem to be on at an odd time for most people.

Yeah, Ive considered switching data centers as well, Im not opposed to the idea! Just dont know much about the EU servers

bare in mind 4pm-6pm PST is waaaay past midnight for most if not ALL of the EU players. EU tends to die down around 10pm GMT (11pm BST) to where youll struggle to queue things like PvP or find statics.
id honestly say you're in the better place with your current data centre

edit: before transfering, maybe make an alt on one of the new worlds and test it out. you can just delete the alt later when moving your main char across if you decide to do so.

This is the issue i was hoping the data centre travel would fix honestly.

My issue isn't quite the same. Im in the EU but I play on Aether as thats basically where whats left of all my friends are. some date back to 1.0 some date back to an old FFXI linkshell. but at times it can be particulalry quiet, most notably on my days off where my lunchtime is NA early morning.
This is where i was hoping the DC travel would be great. on my days off i could just hop over to ragnarok or EU datacentres and get some stuff done quicker, then jump back to Aether in the later hours to interact with friends..
But for one reason or another they locked it out. which was dumb imo..

EU (Chaos and Light) would be 12pm-2am GMT
NA (Primal, Aether and Crystal) would be 7am-9pm EST
Oceania (Materia) would be 9pm-11am AEST
JP would be 8pm-10am JST

I think EU is the best you will get. NA is second best. For the most activity, it works best to have alts in most regions and just play in each of their evenings between 7pm-10pm.

One addendum, you would be playing on OCE servers in OCE region....with the noticeable changes to your latency. Bear very much in mind that these servers are located in Australia.

if you are located in NA i highly suggest you do not transfer to another region data center. your ping will increase, and while its do-able, it isn't exactly fun. i can relate though, as my own schedule is vastly different than most, but there is still plenty of people around (at least in balmung) early in the mornings for me. my play time is 5 AM EST to 9 AM EST on my work days as i work over nights haha. when i do log in during the day though i tend to see people mingling around.

my suggestion is to try to data center travel in NA and see which data center fits you most. balmung tends to have all different types of folks due to it being the unofficial RP server, so check and see if crystal suits your needs.
