    Exclusive item for those with housing bug?

    To address a recent issue with the housing lottery system, an NPC by which players may voluntarily return the deposit they were accidentally refunded has been added.
    Players may speak with the Housing Lottery Clerk in Empyreum (X:10.2 Y:10.2) to voluntarily return their deposit. The amount returned will be compensated with an exchange of an item.

    Wonder how much convincing it would be to let anybody buy it for 50 million....

    That's super annoying honestly. I was hit by the bug but didn't win. I don't get the compensation items or a house still. Thanks SE!

    I figured getting a house was enough of a reward, they get another exclusive reward on top of that?

    "Exclusive" probably something easy to get anyway, like when we had inventory bug and all they gave out was an Iron torch.

    Can someone explain this? I wasn't actively playing when lottery was added and had a lot of issues.

    When the lottery bug occured and displayed 0 as the winning number, all participants (including the actual winner), were told that they lost and had the option to withdraw their deposits. When the bug was fixed and the lottery servers' results were finally synced with the housing wards, some of the actual winners had already withdrawn their deposits - which of course, is a condition that normally can't occur. The conclusion of the first round of lottery had already been delayed over a month, and it just didn't make sense to delay it some more to ensure that gil was collected from every winner who had previously withdrawn their deposit. Instead they're implementing this NPC that allows those winners the option of returning their deposit in exchange for those posters.
