I don't understand all the hate towards Aveyond. Ironically I suspect it might just be a few people who disagree and want to invalidate him by pushing his "majority of people" anecdotes. It's your responsibility to think critically of everything you read. No single piece of writing has the singular, undisputable facts no matter how many sources or data points they bring up. When someone says "majority of people don't like X" or hell even if they do claim to represent the community as a whole saying "nobody"/"everybody", you as the reader need to realize it's still just their anecdote and it's up to you to weigh its value. If you value it lowly, that's your story to tell, but it doesn't invalidate theirs.

Anyways, critical thinking 101 aside, I do agree there is a ton of neglected and out dated systems/features in the game. The devs' approach seems to be to push out more and more new content to drown out the obsolete content, but that doesn't work when players still fully engage in the obsolete content like housing, cosmetics, and MSQ. Shutting down the game to fix it would be a nuclear option, but they would definitely get value out of shifting a bit more of their attention backwards to fundamental things. They recently said they would be looking at third-party tools as references for ways to improve the game and that's a huge step in the right direction. I wouldn't underestimate the role that these third-party tools has had in this game's long term success.
